The following is a self defense seminar we held for a corporate clients annual sales seminar. It’s just a quick snapshot of a full 2 hour event in which the 75 participants learned about both awareness concepts and self defense.
We start by dispelling many common myths about self defense and then moved on to making them a harder target (so they don’t set themselves up to be a victim). We next moved on to verbal de-escalation tools and then to the preservation of ones own personal space and boundaries. Next we covered some instinct based responses, that anyone can do, and drilled them with the clients. Lastly we linked all these concepts together and provided them an opportunity to test what they had learned. As you can see, this group engaged well and did a great job! We always try to keep things lively and upbeat so everyone stays in the learning mode and is receptive to the information.
